This hybrid extra large dog kennel offers the funtionality of puppy house and a pet crate. Wooden balcony crate comes with a door lock and the cabin comes with heavyduty plastic curtains. Suitable for breeds like Labrador, Golden Retriever, German Shepherd and Rottweiler. Kennel has an in-built storage compartment underneath the lift-up roof to store pet food and toys.

Tough durable weatherproof UV resistant asphalt roof protects your pup from the heat during summer and against rain. Added convenience of lift-up roof for easy cleaning. Removable plastic curtain for the inside cabin entrance provides the best possible protection against the elements. These kennels are raised on small legs to prevent moisture and cold entering the kennel floor. Leg caps help prevent rot.
All kennels come flat packed and can be assembled easily with screws. Instructions provided.

All in all, it's a great dog kennel for my two pups. It's well designed and has plenty of space for both of them.
The only down fall is that the material is quite cheap and fragile (very light wood). It is likely break very easily. For example, I would like to move it to a new spot, but worry that it may rip the "wood" if I attempt to move it.
I expected the quality of wood to be better...very flimsy/soft for a kennel for a large size dog! Also, the bars on verandah are aluminium NOT steel...this should have been made more clear in advertising. My 10 yr old border collie wanted out and she got it! She chewed through bar, chewed wood & ripped the screwed on plastic flap in 1 night :( We also had to prop up centre kennel from underneath as floor was sagging in the middle join as it had no support. It was difficult to determine where the arms for hinges were to be screwed when putting lid on. Design & materials need to be reviewed seriously as the price does not match the quality or function of the product in a competitive environment.
The kennel is a great set up with the enclosed area remaining really warm. However the quality of the product is substandard. It required retrofitting of new hinges and stays because the ones supplied were ridiculously flimsy. Also needed to add a brace on the rear side of the cage where it attaches to kennel because there is no access for the drill. The wooden beams on the cage area are so lightweight they might as well not be there.
The purchase has worked out for us because my hubby is handy and could fix and strengthen this where needed, but it wouldn’t be suitable for someone hoping to assemble and go.
The kennel pieces are very poor quality. Wood planks are thin and will definitely require additional support if you have a bigger dog. When we were unpacking, every piece was covered in some sort of fibre. I contacted Pet Joint and was told that this was “oxidation of wood” and it evaporates in the sun. There was still glue on some pieces and the lock did not align very well. The kennel also had major off gas and emitted a strong chemical smell. I had to air it out for a week and a half before the smell resided or as informed by Pet Joint, you can “wash it off by spraying water through a garden hose”. The size and design of the kennel is perfect.
